Data deletion

You decide what Vane keeps. There are three ways to delete data, from the smallest to the largest. What we keep and for how long is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. Remove one connected account

In the dashboard, open Channels and press the bin next to the account. This deletes its saved sign-in and every post still scheduled for it. Posts already published stay on the network, where you can delete them yourself.

2. Remove Vane from a network

  • LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services → Vane → Remove.
  • Threads / Instagram: Account → Website permissions (or Settings → Apps and websites) → Vane → Remove. The network then tells Vane, and Vane deletes that connection and its posts. If you used the network’s “delete data” option, you get a confirmation code, and this page shows it.
  • Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Vane → Remove access.
  • Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram: revoke the app password, the authorized app or the bot’s administrator rights in the network’s own settings.

Removing the permission makes the connection stop working immediately, whatever Vane does next.

3. Delete your whole Vane account

Write from the email address of the account to the contact form with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete the account, its channels and sign-in tokens, posts, uploaded files and videos, API keys, webhooks and logs we can link to you, and confirm by email within 30 days. Some records are kept where the law requires it (for example billing records), and backups roll off on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

You can also ask for a copy of your data, or for a correction, at the same address.
